EVEN BASICS

EVEN conceived a fully-online training program to give any motivated individual a free-to-all path to gain the basic knowledge needed to work backstage and on the road.

Our education committee has developed a streamlined curriculum that covers all aspects of a live events technical career. Beyond knowing which way is downstage and how to wrap a cable, students need to know the life stuff. To that end, EVEN BASICS will offer a high-level overview of various production departments as well as accredited safety training to prepare students for entry-level opportunities. This curriculum is solely intended to offer basic knowledge of topics and technical skills pertaining to live event production departments through seminars, workshops, and panels with experienced working professionals. The curriculum is divided into the following modules:

Students will be instructed through multiple online video modules and workbooks of varying durations. At the end of each department module, seasoned panelists will come together to discuss their roles and experiences in the industry and answer questions via an online discussion.

The entire EVEN education platform will be hosted online through a learning management system. All lessons are pre-recorded..

• Each module is composed of two-three lessons.

• Each lesson is composed of six 30-minute instructional videos.

• All videos include visual demonstrations of essential technical skills and equipment taught by skilled instructors and industry professionals.

• Throughout all modules, students will be able to check their knowledge of the skills they’ve learned.
